The project is characterized by a continuous sequences of different settings that, dissolving the corridor presence, give a domestic and contemporary style to the space: the sector conceived for informal meetings with a high table and stools, the lounge area with a carpet and the armchairs, the individual and common workspaces.Libraries, exhibitors and semi-opaque frames build the space in a dynamic way by repeating the same structural geometry and using as constituent model squared metallic profiles and black mdf panels coated with a special laminate.Even lighting contributes to the spaces characterization: light is directed to large ceiling lampshades of different silhouettes and sizes realized in parchment.
The word creativity can be defined in several ways, whilst researching I stumbled across the stages of creativity. These stages break down the term and explain how the mind works in terms of creativity. Through research I kept coming across the same four words. These words were: 1. Preparation 2. Incubation 3. Illumination 4. Verification.
1. Preparation: In this stage the thinker formulates the problem and collects the facts and materials considered necessary for finding new solutions. Many times the problem cannot be solved even after days, weeks or months of concentrated efforts. Failing to solve the problem, the thinker turns away from it initiating next stage. 2. Incubation: During this period some of the ideas that were interfering with the solution will tend to fade. The overt activity and sometimes even thinking about the problem is absent in this stage. But the unconscious thought process involved in creative thinking is at work during this period.Apparently the thinker will be busy in other activities like reading literature or playing games, etc. Inspite of these activities the contemplation about finding a solution to problem will be going on in the mind. 3. Illumination: Following the period of incubation the creative ideas occur suddenly. Consequently the obscure thing becomes clear. This sudden flash of solution is known as illumination and is similar to ‘aha (eureka)’ experience. For example, Archimedes found solution to the crown problem. 4. Verification: Though the solution is found in illumination stage, it is necessary to verify whether that solution is correct or not. Hence in this last stage evaluation of the solution is done. If the solution is not satisfactory the thinker will go back to creative process from the beginning. ' Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterised by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions.' The space you work in directly affects your productivity and creativity. Creativity has a huge impact on design. Designing a creative space requires paying attention to detail. How do different spaces and furniture make one feel, and why? Where did spaces encourage group work and interaction? Where did they stifle it? Most importantly, what kind of places does one do their best work? And what features of the space inspired this work?
